Proving that late speed could be as effective on the soft turf at Monmouth as it had been on the main track, Nownownow (Whywhywhy) rallied from the back of the pack to collect the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf yesterday. The colt hooked Achill Island (Ire) (Sadler's Wells) in the waning yards and prevailed in a photo. He gave jockey Julien Leparoux his first win in a Breeders' Cup event and, with Patrick Biancone on the sidelines, it was Francois Parisel saddling his first starter to an upset score.
