The catalogue for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's August Yearling Sale is now available online at www.obssales.com and the iPad version on the catalogue can be accessed via the Equineline Sales Catalogue App. The print version will be mailed at the end of July. The auction will be comprised of a select yearling section as well as an open section. The select sale, which has 217 yearlings catalogued, will be held Tuesday Aug. 25. The two-day open sale, which has 595 yearlings catalogued, will be held Wednesday Aug. 26 to Aug. 27. All sessions will begin at 11:00 a.m.
“We're looking forward to our yearling sale coming up, we've attracted a nice group of individuals both from within the state of Florida and outside the state,” OBS President Tom Ventura said. “Many of the leading sires of North America are represent in the sale with a solid group of quality physicals.”
Conformation photos of selected yearlings will be available on the OBS website Aug. 7. “It's unique to the sale is we do put professional conformation photos online of the select session horses,” Ventura added.
Recent graduates of the OBS August sale include MGSW & GISP Distinctiv Passion (With Distinction), MGSW & GISP El Kabeir (Scat Daddy), GSW Ekati's Phaeton (Tale of Ekati), GSW Mr. Jordan (Kantharos) and GSW Quality Rocks (Rock Hard Ten).
