The catalogue for the 2017 Ocala Breeders Sales Company's Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training is now online at the company's website at www.obssales.com.
A total of 1208 juveniles have been entered for the four-day sale, to be held Tuesday through Friday, Apr. 25-28, with bidding beginning each day at 10:30 a.m. The sale's under-tack show will be conducted over six days beginning Monday, Apr. 17 through Saturday, Apr. 22. All breeze-up sessions will begin at 8 a.m.
The 2016 OBS Spring Sale produced Champagne Room (Broken Vow), a $310,000 purchase by Larry Zap on behalf of Ciaglia Racing, Exline-Border, Gulliver Racing, Sharon Alesia, Christensen, and Legan who went on to upset the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies en route to an Eclipse Award (ring footage). Other graduates from last year's Spring Sale include future GI Del Mar Debutante victress and $375,000 purchase Union Strike (Union Rags) (ring footage); and La Coronel (Colonel John), winner of the GIII Jessamine S.
