Acrux, a Dansili half to Main Sequence, debuts Saturday | Juddmonte

1.20 Deauville, Debutantes, €25,000, 2yo, f, 6fT

FIRST OF SPRING (IRE) (Galileo {Ire}) is the first foal out of the emphatic 2012 G1 1000 Guineas heroine Homecoming Queen (Ire) (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}) who races in the colours of Joseph Allen for the Jean-Claude Rouget stable. The dam, who is a half to Dylan Thomas (Ire) and Queen's Logic (Ire) (Grand Lodge), took some time to find the winner's spot at two before scaling the heights so there may not be huge expectations on this first start.

2.55 Doncaster, Mdn, £6,000, 3yo, 10f 60yT

ACRUX (GB) (Dansili {GB}) debuts in Niarchos Family's colours for trainer David Lanigan, who was charged with the early career of his four-times Grade I-winning half-brother Main Sequence (Aldebaran). Among the opponents to the homebred are Al Shaqab Racing's El Vip (Ire) (Pivotal {GB}), a Luca Cumani-trained son of the German champion Elle Danzig (Ger) (Roi Danzig) who fetched 250,000gns at Tattersalls.

3.25 Newmarket, Mdn, £7,000, 2yo, f, 7fT

RICKRACK (IRE) (Teofilo {Ire}) debuts for Luca Cumani in the maiden he used to launch the career of the smart Seta (GB) (Pivotal {GB}), who was so impressive here seven years ago. Jon Kelly's half-sister to the top Hong Kong performer Helene Spirit (Ire) (Footstepsinthesand {GB}), who cost 260,000gns at Tattersalls, meets a Rothschild newcomer in Blushing Rose (GB) (Dalakhani {Ire}), a Sir Michael Stoute-trained daughter of the 2011 G2 Cherry Hinton S. runner-up Russelliana (GB) (Medicean {GB}) who scored on her debut.
