Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Today's Observations features the debut of last year's Tattersalls October Book 1 co-topper.

GLORIOUS JOURNEY (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) was the 2.6-million gns TAOCT purchase for Godolphin who debuts for the Charlie Appleby stable. Out of Normandie Stud's G1 Coronation S. heroine Fallen For You (GB) (Dansili {GB}), the February-foaled bay colt is met by Al Shaqab Racing's fellow newcomer Qayes (GB) (Exceed and Excel {Aus}), a John Gosden-trained 400,000gns TAOCT half-brother to the 2014 G1 Moyglare Stud S. winner Cursory Glance (Distorted Humor), and Jeff Smith's unraced filly Cosmopolitan Queen (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), a David Elsworth-trained full-sister to the same connections' shock G1 Juddmonte International S. scorer Arabian Queen (Ire).

2.25 The Curragh, Mdn, €17,500, 2yo, c/g, 7fT

BOND STREET (IRE) (Galileo {Ire}) is the mount of Seamie Heffernan of three Ballydoyle newcomers and is a son of the MGSP and G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches fourth After (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}). He is joined by the stable's fellow newcomer The Pentagon (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), a son of the G1 Prix Saint-Alary heroine Vadawina (Ire) (Unfuwain) who has proven a top producer with the G1 Prix du Conseil de Paris scorer Vadamar (Fr) (Dalakhani {Ire}) the best of them so far.
