Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Today's Observations features a half-sister to this year's G1 Pretty Polly S. winner Nezwaah.

BROADCAST (Distorted Humor) is out of the 2011 G1 Prix Jean Romanet winner Announce (GB) (Selkirk) and starts out for the same owner-trainer combination of Khalid Abdullah and Andre Fabre. He meets Ecurie La Vallee Martigny's experienced homebred Viridorix (GB) (Dawn Approach (Ire)">Dawn Approach {Ire}), a Jean-Claude Rouget-trained relative of this year's Listed Ascendant S. winner Chilean (GB) (Iffraaj {GB}).

1.15 Wolverhampton, Cond, £5,000, 2yo, f, 8f 142y (AWT)
MONTEJA (GB) (Shamardal) is a half-sister to Nezwaah (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) who struck gold for the same Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum-Roger Varian partnership in this year's G1 Pretty Polly S. She is one of a clutch of intriguing newcomers alongside Lady Bamford's Love Is Enough (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}), a John Gosden trainee whose dam is a half to Duke of Marmalade (Ire) (Danehill) and Ruler of the World (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}).

1.30 Deauville, Mdn, €27,000, 2yo, f, 7 1/2f (AWT)
AT YOUR PLEASURE (GB) (War Front">War Front) is another notable newcomer to represent the Juddmonte-Fabre axis on this card, being a daughter of the operation's high-class Ventura (Chester House). She is only the third runner for the GI Just a Game S., GI Matriarch S. and GI Santa Monica H. heroine and faces Ballymore Thoroughbred Ltd's experienced Agathe Sainte (GB) (Holy Roman Emperor (Ire)">Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}), a Freddy Head-trained filly whose dam is an unraced half to the luminary Aquarelliste (Fr) (Danehill).
