CAPESTHORNE (IRE) (Oasis Dream {GB}), who was scratched from her intended debut at Pontefract just two days ago, is a daughter of 2010 G2 Blandford S. victress and G1 Yorkshire Oaks third Eleanora Duse (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}). Opposition to the Sir Michael Stoute trainee includes George Strawbridge's homebred newcomer Ocala (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}), who is out of 2012 GI Nearctic S. runner-up Night Carnation (GB) (Sleeping Indian {GB}), representing Andrew Balding's in-form juvenile band; and the Hot To Trot Syndicate's once-raced Roseau City (GB) (Cityscape {GB}), who is a David Elsworth-trained daughter of 2002 King's Stand S. heroine Dominica (GB) (Alhaarth {Ire}).

 

6.35 Newmarket, Mdn, £7,000, 2yo, 7fT
Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum's homebred WAFY (IRE) (Dubawi {Ire}), a Charles Hills trainee, is a hitherto unraced son of 2009 G1 1000 Guineas and G1 Coronation S. heroine Ghanaati (Giant's Causeway). His one dozen rivals include Ballymacoll Stud's homebred fellow newcomer Hidden Depths (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}), who is out of 2013 G3 Musidora S. victress and G1 Epsom Oaks fifth Liber Nauticus (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}), from Sir Michael Stoute's local yard.
