Frankel | Juddmonte Farms

1.40 Salisbury, Cond, £9,000, 2yo, 8fT
SALOUEN (IRE) (Canford Cliffs {Ire}) bids to build on a second to South Seas (Ire) (Lope de Vega {Ire}) in the G3 Solario S. 12 days ago. Sylvester Kirk will be hoping he can gain some compensation for his strong finish over that seven-furlong trip and book a ticket to something like the G1 Racing Post Trophy.

2.30 Haydock, Mdn, £6,600, 2yo, c/g, 6fT
SWISS STORM (GB) (Frankel (GB)">Frankel {GB}) is the latest off the production line of the Banstead Manor deity, this time a son of the 2001 G2 Flying Childers S. Swiss Lake (Indian Ridge {Ire}). She has thrown four black-type performers already headed by the MGSW Swiss Diva (GB) (Pivotal {GB}), trained like this colt, by David Elsworth. Frankel's initial runners all look to have an abundant share of the speed of his dam Kind (Ire) (Danehill) and Lordship Stud's homebred is likely to be a warm order to make it winner number 11.

2.40 Salisbury, Mdn, £12,000, 2yo, f, 6f 212yT
SECRET SOUL (GB) (Street Cry {Ire}) debuts for Newsells Park Stud and Ralph Beckett who combined with her high-class half-sister Secret Gesture (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), a top-level winner in all but name, after her controversial disqualification in last year's GI Beverly D. S. The 800,000gns TATOCT purchase, whose other half-brother Sir Isaac Newton (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) has come to life of late when fourth in the G1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth S. and G1 Juddmonte International, has to deal with Highclere Thoroughbred Racing's Contentment (GB) (Cacique {Ire}), a 160,000gns William Haggas-trained daughter of the MSW and GSP Cartimandua (GB) (Medicean {GB}) who was fourth on debut at Newbury last month.

3.00 Haydock, Mdn, £6,600, 2yo, c/g, 8fT
KATMANDOO (Kitten's Joy) was a 230,000gns purchase at Tattersalls October and races for the trio of owners Burns Smyth and Studholme in training with Tom Dascombe. A full-brother to the 2013 G1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup heroine Kitten's Dumplings and graded-stakes placed duo Granny Mc's Kitten and Granny's Kitten, the bay encounters another pricey yearling in Pak Kwan Siu's Poseidon (Ire) (Born To Sea {Ire}), an Ed Walker-trained €320,000 GOFORB half-brother to the group performers Drumbeat (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}) and California (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}) and Godolphin's fellow newcomer Alqamar (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), a Charlie Appleby-trained grandson of the operation's dual Classic winner Kazzia (Ger) (Zinaad {GB}).

4.00 Haydock, Cond, £15,000, 3yo/up, 7fT
FORGE (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) enjoys a class drop after a disappointing effort when sixth in the G3 City of York S. over this trip 13 days ago and Sir Michael Stoute will be hoping Khalid Abdullah's son of Heat Haze (GB) (Green Desert) can put that behind him. Previously third in the G3 Jersey S. and second in the G3 Thoroughbred S., he faces no soft option here and will have to get past Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Muwaary (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), John Gosden's 2014 Jersey runner-up who bids to make up for lost time.
