Michael Lund Petersen's 'TDN Rising Star' One Lucky Dane (Lookin at Lucky) is under consideration for the GI Santa Anita Derby, trainer Bob Baffert announced Thursday.
“I might run him,” Baffert said. “He likes this track. Either that, or I could wait for the [GIII Coolmore] Lexington [S. Apr. 11 at Keeneland]. Now's the time to find out if you fit.”
An impressive graduate at third asking in Arcadia Oct. 4, the bay was sixth in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Nov. 1 and kicked off his sophomore season with a 9 3/4-length romp in a one-mile optional claimer at Santa Anita Mar. 19.
