Alex Solis II's Solis Bloodstock signed the ticket at A$720,000 for One World (Aus) (Danehill) to top Tuesday's super select session of the Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale in Sydney. The 12-year-old group-winning mare is the dam of group winner One Last Dance (Aus) (Encosta de Lago {Aus}). Consigned by Coolmore, she sold in foal to Lonhro (Aus).
Solis Bloodstock was also the winning bidder for the session's second highest priced lot, going to A$540,000 for Diamond Necklace (Unbridled's Song–Helsinki {GB}, by Machiavellian). The stakes-placed mare is a half to European champion Shamardal (Giant's Causeway). In foal to Commands (Aus), she was consigned by Tyreel Stud. A $1,150,000 weanling at Keeneland November in 2004, Diamond Necklace was purchased by Tyreel for $1.3 million while in foal to Giant's Causeway at Keeneland November in 2008.
