Glencrest Farm's unbeaten top GI Kentucky Oaks prospect Onlyforyou (Malibu Moon–Erhu, by Tactical Cat) suffered a fatal injury while training Saturday morning at Palm Meadows Training Center. “She had a complex condular fracture that was displaced and irreparable,” trainer Todd Pletcher said. “She worked and a little bit more than an eighth of a mile into the gallop, she took a bad step.” The bay was perfect in four starts, including the seven-furlong GII Forward Gal S. Jan. 25 and the 1 1/16-mile GII Davona Dale S. Feb. 22. Onlyforyou, a $115,000 KEESEP yearling purchase, was pointing toward a start in the GII Gulfstream Park Oaks Mar. 29. “Obviously, it's a sad moment for everybody,” Pletcher added. “The barn takes it hard when stuff like that happens, especially when it's a filly like that who was perfect her whole career. It looked like she had a big future ahead.” Onlyforyou, produced by the graded stakes placed mare Erhu, was bred in Kentucky by Elm Tree Farm LLC & Popatop LLC. She posted a record of 4-4-0-0 and earnings of $308,100.
