The Last Lion embarks on his first season at stud | Darley

Darley will offer breeders the opportunity to view their full roster of Irish and British based stallions over the next week. They begin with an open day in Kildangan Stud Friday and Saturday where the Irish line up of stallions will be available for viewing between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Next week, Dalham Hall in Newmarket will welcome breeders on Wednesday and Thursday Jan. 11-12 when there will be three stallion shows each day, at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. with refreshments also being served.

At Kildangan, Darley's newest recruits, including multiple G1 winner Belardo (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), G1 Middle Park S. winner The Last Lion (Ire) (Choisir {Aus}) and G2 Coventry S. winner Buratino (Ire) (Exceed And Excel {Aus}), will be on show. Also available for inspection will be Fast Company (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), new to the roster for 2017.

Next week in Newmarket new stallions for 2017 on show will include the trio of G1 Middle Park S. winner Charming Thought (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), the former Andre Fabre trained Territories (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) and 2013 champion 2-year-old Toormore (Ire) (Arakan). They will be joined, among others, by Dalham Hall kingpin Dubawi (Ire) (Dubai Millennium), New Approach (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and Golden Horn (GB) (Cape Cross {Ire}), whose first foals are expected in the coming weeks.
