In his weekly column, Bill Oppenheim chimes in on the recently released figures by Equibase which reveal that both handle and purses have declined by significant amounts from 12 months ago. As handle goes down, so too do purses and that provides decreasing incentive for new owners to jump into a business whose popularity and attractiveness continue to dissipate.
