Padua Wins Battle for Friends Lake Colt

Bidding on behalf of his Padua Stables, owner Satish Sanan outlasted a group including Buzz Chace and West Point to land a colt from the first crop of Friends Lake (A.P. Indy). Consigned by Mike and Britt Mulligan's Leprechaun Racing, hip 33, a son of the Mt. Livermore mare Incredible Me, was purchased for $450,000. ﾓThis was one of the top horses of the sale, and we really wanted to buy him,ﾔ Sanan offered shortly after launching the winning salvo. ﾓHe is by a freshman sire and heﾒs a nice-moving horse.
