Pair of Gainesway-consigned Smart Strikes Bring $550K a Piece During Session 5 at Keeneland

Leading sire Smart Strike has had another excellent year with his son Lookin At Lucky topping the three-year-old colt division due to Grade I wins in the Preakness S. and Haskell Invitational S. The Lane's End stallion had a pretty successful session at Keeneland Thursday too, when two of his yearlings brought $550,000 a piece. Hip 985, a colt out of Madame Thor (Deputy Minister) was the first of the duo to pass through the ring, and was snatched up by Zayat Stables LLC. Hip 1082, a filly out of the SW and GSP My Miss Storm Cat (Sea of Secrets) bred by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings in Kentucky, went to George Bolton. Both yearlings were consigned by Gainesway.
