Havre de Grace (m, 5, Saint Liam–Easter Bunnette, by Carson City), the 2011 Horse of the Year, figured to raise the roof when offered as a broodmare prospect at Fasig-Tipton, and lived up to the billing. Bids flew past the $5-million mark quickly and, when it was all over, Mandy Pope had the winning salvo at $10 million.
