Playful Act Filly Gets Things Rolling at KEESEP

A striking bay filly by Giant's Causeway out of champion and G1SW Playful Act (Ire) (Sadler's Wells) got the 2008 Keeneland September Yearling Sale off on a high note, selling for $850,000 to European bloodstock agent John Warren, acting on behalf of unnamed clients. Consigned by John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Sales agency for the Sangster family, the Jan. 17 produce is the first foal from the six-year-old mare, who made headlines last year in this pavilion when she was purchased by John Ferguson for a record $10.5 million at the November Breeding Stock Sale.
