Point of Entry to Scratch from Woodford Reserve

Phipps Stable and Stronach Stable’s Point of Entry (Dynaformer), the 7-5 second choice on the morning line behind favored Wise Dan (Wiseman’s Ferry) in the upcoming GI Woodford Reserve Turf Classic at Churchill Downs, will be scratched due to the rains that have caused the ground to turn yielding. Trainer Shug McGaughey was seen consulting with jockey John Velazquez following the GII Churchill Distaff Turf Mile, presumably discussing the underfoot conditions.
