Hip 583, a Tapit filly out of MGSW and GII Fair Grounds Oaks winner Quiet Temper (Quiet American), attracted a final bid of $1.1 million from Mandy Pope's Whisper Hill Farm, who had struck one hip earlier for another Tapit filly (Hip 582), a half-sister to GI Kentucky Derby third-place finisher Gun Runner (Candy Ride {Arg}). Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, Agent CXLVI, the February foal was bred by Three Chimneys Farm, LLC & Besilu Stables, LLC (KY). His fourth dam is MGSW & GISP Blitey (Riva Ridge), responsible for MGISW Dancing Spree (Nijinsky II), as well as GI Ballerina H. victress Furlough (Easy Goer).
