Postponed to Prix Foy

Sheikh Mohammed Obaid al Maktoum’s Postponed (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), winner of the G1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth S. July 25, will prep for the Oct. 4 G1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in the G2 Prix Foy on Longchamp’s local Arc prep day Sept. 13, according to Racing Post. Postponed had his first work since the King George Saturday, and trainer Luca Cumani told Racing Post the 4-year-old “is in good form and was a little fresh in his work, as it was the first time he’d worked since Ascot.”

We would have liked to have run him in a trial here, but there aren’t any suitable races unless you want to run on the all-weather, and we don’t,” Cumani added. “The Prix Foy is the only feasible option and it helps that he doesn’t have to carry a Group 1 penalty.”
