Potensis Dispersal Headlines Goffs

Jessber's Dream | Goffs UK

The dispersal of Potensis Bloodstock provided the highlight of Wednesday's Goffs UK August Sale when the Grade II-winning mare Jessber's Dream (Ire) (Milan {GB}) (lot 235) sold to Tom Malone and the new syndicate Ditcheat Thoroughbreds for £190,000. The Potensis draft also produced the second-highest price of the day: the winning hurdler Crin Au Vent (Fr) (Laveron {GB}) (lot 232), who was hammered down to Paul Nicholls for £120,000. Those were the only two lots during the session to reach six figures.

Potensis Racing Manager Noel Fehily said, “we were always keen to bring the draft to Doncaster and the whole Potensis team are very pleased with the results; the horses sold well. It's sad to see Jessber's Dream go but we are thrilled with her price and we wish her new connections all the best with her.”

A total of 291 lots were offered on Wednesday, with 80% of those (233) sold for £2,624,000. The average was £11,262, and the median £6,000.
