Hip 94, a son of Pioneerof the Nile out of Faith In Me (Mr. Greeley) livened things up a bit as the Fasig-Tipton Florida Sale passed its midpoint, fetching a final bid of $1 million from agent Jamie McCalmont on behalf of Coolmore's MV Magnier. The dark bay, from the family of Grade I winners Chaposa Springs and her half-brother You and I, was purchased by Randy Hartley and Dean De Renzo for $230,000 at last year's Keeneland September sale, about six weeks before this sire's eventual Horse of the Year American Pharoah completed an unprecedented sequence of victories in the GI Breeders' Cup Classic at Keeneland.
