Premium Tap (Pleasant Tap), a dual Grade I winner in the U.S. and runner-up to Invasor (Arg) in last year's G1 Dubai World Cup, was fourth Friday in defense of his title in the G1-KSA Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup at the Janadriah Racetrack outside of Riyadh. In the end, it was Kharimes (Arg), the 2006 G1 Argentinian 2000 Guineas hero when racing as Joe Louis (Arg), who sprung the upset, besting Shabel Almidaan (Ire) (Fasliyev)–formerly Critic (Ire)–by 3/4 of a length. Premium Tap, now named Allam, was defeated by just over three lengths.
