Profitable Straight to King's Stand

Profitable | Racing Post

Last year's winner Profitable (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) is on course to defend his G1 King's Stand S. crown at Royal Ascot. Trainer Clive Cox has opted to skip Saturday's G2 Temple S. at Haydock after the Godolphin-owned 5-year-old finished a satisfactory second to Signs Of Blessing (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire})) at Deauville earlier this month.

“He's not going to Haydock,” said Cox. “Last year he went from the [G3] Palace House [S. at Newmarket] to the Temple, but we were forced to miss the Palace House this year which meant he went to France instead. That meant he ran a week later and it would have all just been a bit tight. I was pleased with him in France and he'll now go straight for the King's Stand.”
