Made You Look (More Than Ready), winner of last summer's GII With Anticipation S. at Saratoga, kicks off his sophomore campaign in Saturday's GIII Dania Beach S. at Gulfstream. The dark bay could no better than sixth when last seen in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Santa Anita Nov. 4. “I was a little disappointed; the horse had trained really well leading up to it,” trainer Todd Pletcher said. “He just ran evenly. It wasn't a horrible effort. He came out of it fine and we've been pointing to this.”
Kitten's Cat (Kitten's Joy) followed a third-place finish in Belmont's GIII Pilgrim S. Oct. 1 with a smart tally after stumbling at the start in Santa Anita's Juvenile Turf Sprint S. going down the hill Nov. 5. “I'm bringing the family with the anticipation of getting a picture taken,” trainer Joe Sharp warned. “I was very, very upset not to draw into the Breeders' Cup. We felt we were good enough to be right there.”
Minister's Strike (English Channel) and Squadron (Midshipman) both enter with perfect two-for-two records.
