Proud Citizen's Proud Spell Is Champion 3yo Filly

It was perhaps the most hotly contested category, but when the envelope was opened, it was Brereton C. Jones's homebred Proud Spell (Proud Citizen–Pacific Spell, by Langfuhr) who came out on top as the champion three-year-old filly. The GI Kentucky Oaks heroine was 8-4-2-2 last season for trainer Larry Jones.
