Arqana will begin their 2017 sales season by offering the 10-year-old mare Blissful Beat (GB) (Beat Hollow {GB}) for sale on their on-line platform arqanaonline.com. Best known as the dam of Hugo Palmer's high class Home Of The Brave (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}), Blissful Beat will be offered by Haras du Grand Chene in foal to Le Havre (Ire) (Noverre). The sale will go live at 3pm Jan. 17 and full details of the mare, who is a half-sister to two stakes winners, are available on the Arqana website. Group 3 winner Home Of The Brave is the first foal produced by the un-raced Blissful Beat whose progeny have subsequently proved very popular in the sales ring and Anna Drion of Haras du Grand Chene commented, “This mare has been wonderful to us. She was a mare I wanted to buy from the moment I saw her and her very first foal turned out to be the wonderful horse that is Home Of The Brave. She has everything you could ask for to make a top broodmare and is a tremendous walker. It breaks my heart to have to let her go but she will make someone else very happy.” Blissful Beat is also available for inspection at Haras du Grand Chene by appointment at +33 676 74 94 74.
