Queen's Trust (GB) (Dansili {GB}), runner-up in the 2016 G1 Qatar Nassau S. to Minding (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) before ending her year with a victory in the GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf in 2016, looks to go one better in this year's edition. One of 30 left in the field for the Aug. 3 feature at Goodwood, the Cheveley Park colourbearer was most recently fourth in the G1 Prince of Wales's S. at Royal Ascot.
“I haven't spoken to Sir Michael [Stoute] since her run at Royal Ascot last week, but we have put her in and the race is very much an option for her,” said Chris Richardson, Managing Director of Cheveley Park Stud. “She was slowly away at Royal Ascot and got pinned in on the rail. When she did get clear, she ran on well to the line. She certainly showed improvement from her first run this season at York and hopefully she can continue to do that throughout the year.”
Recent G1 Coronation S. heroine Winter (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who landed both the G1 1000 Guineas and the Irish equivalent, is also signed on for Ballydoyle, as is G1 Matron S. victress Alice Springs (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), 1000 Guineas and G1 Oaks bridesmaid Rhododendron (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and 2016 G1 Irish Oaks and G1 Yorkshire Oaks scorer Seventh Heaven (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}).
