Stonestreet Stables's and Harold McCormick's Rachel Alexandra (Medaglia d'Oro), last seen defeating colts in the GI Preakness S. May 16, will take on sophomore fillies next in Belmont's GI Mother Goose S. June 27, it was announced. The GI Kentucky Oaks heroine has worked four times since her historic victory at Pimlico, including a six-furlong move in 1:12 at Churchill June 15. “Rachel is rested, healthy and ready to run,” co-owner Jess Jackson commented. “On Monday, she turned in a very strong six furlong work galloping out seven furlongs around the clubhouse turn in 1:24.80.”
