AP McCoy is among the 18 jockeys set to participate in The Kube fundraiser for paralyzed former rider Robbie McNamara at the Killashee Hotel in Naas Saturday night. The event's 36 contestants–which also include Ruby Walsh, Pat Smullen and Joseph O'Brien–will complete challenges from within a four meter x four meter x four meter perspex cube in a game based on the game show The Cube. All proceeds will go to the Robbie McNamara Fund to help with ongoing medical treatments and practical requirements.
“I'm still as competitive as ever so I'm really looking forward to taking on my old weigh-room friends and giving them a run for their money,” said McCoy. “I'd urge as many people to come along on the night to cheer us on and support the Robbie McNamara fund in the process–it's going to be a great night.”
Tickets are available for €20 from Horse Racing Ireland, The Turf Club, Pat Healy and Martina Murphy Dunne.
