Granted 'TDN Rising Star' status after his debut success over seven furlongs at Leopardstown nine days ago, Radio Silence (War Front) puts his reputation on the line in Saturday's G3 Jebel Ali Racecourse & Stables Anglesey S. at The Curragh.
It was more the manner of his win there than the substance of the form that impressed and the fact that he is the first War Front progeny that Jim Bolger has got his hands on makes him even more interesting.
Seeking a 10th renewal is Aidan O'Brien, who relies on the proven Peace Envoy (Fr) (Power {GB}). Second to Medicine Jack (GB) (Equiano {Fr}) in the G2 Railway S. over six furlongs here last time June 25, he has another Ger Lyons representative to contend with here in Psychedelic Funk (GB) (Choisir {Aus}). Third behind Caravaggio (Scat Daddy) and Mehmas (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}) in a typically strong renewal of the G2 Coventry S. at Royal Ascot last time June 14, he has always been held in high regard by his trainer who said, “He's a very straightforward horse. We're dropping back into a Group 3–we won the Railway with Medicine Jack–so it just fits in. We'll get Saturday out of the way and see where we go after that.”
