Last-out G1 Manikato S. winner Rebel Dane (Aus) (California Dane {Aus}) prepped for a trip to Hong Kong for the G1 Longines Hong Kong Sprint Dec. 11 with a barrier trial win at Rosehill on Tuesday. Jockey Ben Melham, who will be in the irons at Sha Tin, partnered the 7-year-old entire in the 1000-metre trial. Melham let the bay get into a rhythm in second before moving him up to win by a long neck under minimal pressure in a time of :58.20. Rebel Dane is schedule to travel to Hong Kong Dec. 4.
