The Wesley Ward trainee squares off with the four-strong Mark Casse brigade: Gary Barber's impressive maiden winner Black Canary (War Front), Team Valor International's British import Thora Barber (GB) (Rip Van Winkle {Ire}), three-time maiden Enstone (Tiznow) for East West Stables, who finished in the wake of subsequent My Dear S. runner-up and Charles Fipke homebred Stormy Perfection (Tale of the Cat) in a July 2 local all-weather heat and Live Oak Plantation's fellow maiden, Victory to Victory (Exchange Rate), who will add blinkers for the first time after a runner-up performance in a Woodbine allowance Aug. 27 behind Beau Ravine LLC's Tapa Tapa Tapa (Tapit). They are joined by Klaravich Stables and William H. Lawrence's Beat the Benchmark (Speightstown) for Chad Brown, who earned a field-topping Beyer of Speed Figure of 76 in her five-panel Saratoga grass debut Aug. 15. Godolphin is also represented with Aug. 25 Arlington debut winner Lapinski (Street Cry {Ire}) for Mike Stidham.
