Redoute's Choice Filly Tops Easter Finale

A bay filly by Redoute's Choice (Aus) from G1 Canterbury Guineas winner Fine Society (Aus) (Marscay {Aus}) was purchased by Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Australia for A$1.15 million to top the third and final session of the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale Tuesday. The Aug. 30 foal was consigned to the sale by Brooklyn Lodge, which was also responsible for the day's other seven-figure offering (see below). “We had never sold a million-dollar yearling until [Tuesday], so it's a nice thrill to see these two fillies make that kind of money,” said Brooklyn Lodge's Mike Fleming. Sheikh Mohammed's operation was the leading buyer during the three-day auction, with 15 head acquired for gross receipts of nearly A$7.2 million.
