Return Of The Brave

Wicklow Brave | Racing Post

Willie Mullins's ability in both the national hunt and flat spheres is unquestionable and after wins in the G1 Irish St Leger here in September and the Punchestown Champion Hurdle in April, his dual-purpose star Wicklow Brave (GB) (Beat Hollow {GB}) is back on the level in Kildare on Sunday for the G2 Comer Group International Curragh Cup. His defeat of Order of St George (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in the Irish Leger was a surprise at the time, but there was no fluke to that performance and he should strip fit after his return fourth after a slow start trying to give weight away in the June 9 GIII Belmont Gold Cup Invitational S.

The 3-year-old generation's representation if headed by Rekindling (GB) (High Chaparral {Ire}), who captured the G3 Ballysax S. over 10 furlongs at Leopardstown on Apr. 8, while Ryan Moore is on Belgravia (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who was fourth last time in the G2 Queen's Vase over this trip at Royal Ascot on June 23.
