Ringside With Kerri Radcliffe

Kerri Radcliffe | Keeneland

1) What is your one essential to get you through the busy sales season?

My great friend Sandra Hughes sent me over a box of Revive Active in August after Saratoga and it has kept me going throughout the sales season and being on and off numerous amounts of transatlantic flights.

2) Which stallion's first yearlings impressed you most this year?

Verrazano. They looked really strong, good looking, scopey horses. I bought a really nice colt from Paramount Sales (hip 884).

3) What horse springs to mind as your favourite purchase?

It would be a toss up between a Scat Daddy colt (hip 506) ex Miss Lamour who looks an early Ascot type and a Scat Daddy filly (hip 1041) out of Beloveda that I bought from Gainesway. I have named her Dearly Beloved. I would guess I will probably be getting pretty attached to her.

Nemoralia (More Than Ready) will always hold a soft spot in my heart. She was such a pleasure to see on the racetrack, plus I had the added bonus of riding her in the mornings as well. She was so talented and there was definitely more left in the tank.

4) And finally, if you had to select one other agent to buy a horse for you. Who would it be and why?

I would use Demi O'Byrne. His results speak for themselves.
