Rip Van Winkle Colt Leads the Way at タ230,000

Coolmore connections were out in full force yet again during the second session of Tattersalls October Book Two today, with Paul Smith, son of Derrick Smith, going to 230,000gns for a son of Coolmore first season sire Rip Van Winkle. Lot 798 was bred and consigned by Cheveley Park, and becomes the third highest-priced progeny of his sire to sell at auction. Smith has had two runners this season with trainer Roger Varian, including G3 Autumn S. winner Kingston Hill (GB) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}).
