Joining the growing brigade of exciting two-year-olds under the Wathnan Racing banner, Royal Heritage (Blue Point) made his own statement on debut at Hamilton on Wednesday evening.
Sent off the 30-100 favourite for the six-furlong maiden, the €800,000 Arqana May Breeze-Up purchase who holds an entry in Tuesday's Coventry was able to easily overcome a slow start and cruise to the fore two out.
Sent clear under hands and heels by James Doyle, the Hamad Al Jehani-trained half-brother to the useful handicapper Lattam (Lope De Vega) asserted for a 2 3/4-length success from Casino Star (Cotai Glory), with
5 1/2 lengths back to Sea Palace (Havana Grey) in third.
“Hopefully we'll see him at the Royal meeting,” Al Jehani said. “He came from one of the later Breeze-Ups, but he has a very good mind and in a week I'll be able to say whether the Coventry came too quick or not. James thinks he's a nice horse and he can stay further in time.”

The unraced dam, who is responsible for the Irish Lincolnshire winner Lattam (Lope De Vega), is a daughter of Danzig's Firth of Clyde winner Alshadiyah whose progeny list includes the Listed-winning and multiple Group-placed Haatheq (Seeking The Gold) and Thunder Road Stakes scorer and Shoemaker Mile runner-up Farhaan (Jazil). A granddaughter of the 1,000 Guineas heroine Shadayid (Shadeed), the family also features the Vosburgh hero Takaful (Bernardini). Alaata's filly foal is by Zarak.
