Four horses were out for work over the Santa Anita main track Saturday morning as they each prepare for the GII San Felipe S. Mar. 12.

Undefeated California-bred Smokey Image (Southern Image) was put through his paces by jockey Victor Espinoza and covered six furlongs in a bullet 1:12. The Carla Gaines-trainee will face open company for the first time in the San Felipe, having posted six wins to date in restricted company.

Also working for the San Felipe was 'TDN Rising Star' Danzing Candy (Twirling Candy), who drilled three-quarters of a mile in 1:13 flat. Uncle Lino (Uncle Mo) clocked 1:03 flat for his five-furlong drill, while Exaggerator (Curlin), runner-up to champion Nyquist in the GII San Vicente S. Feb. 15, went a similar distance in 1:00.40 for trainer Keith Desormeaux.
