Multiple Grade I winner Scat Daddy (Johannesburg–Love Style, by Mr. Prospector), retired earlier this year, will begin his breeding career in 2008 at Ashford for $30,000. The dark bay ranked among the best of his generation at two, capturing the GI Champagne S. and GII Sanford S. as well as finishing second in the GI Hopeful S. After kicking of 2007 with a third in the GIII Holy Bull S., the Todd Pletcher trainee landed the GI Florida Derby and GII Fountain of Youth S. before concluding his career in the GI Kentucky Derby. The three-year-old, a grandson of GISW Likeable Style (Nijinsky II), compiled a record of 9-5-1-1 and earnings of $1,334,300.
