After swooping for Monday's top two horses at the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages sale–albeit for separate clients–Naohiro Hosoda was back at it Tuesday afternoon, signing the ticket on behalf of Shadai Farm for three-time graded-stakes winner Secret Gypsy (Sea of Secrets) at $540,000. A $10,000 two-year-old purchase by Nathan Fox's Richland Hills and campaigned in partnership with John Kuehl, the chestnut achieved TDN Rising Star status in her career debut when she established a then-track record over 5 1/2 furlongs at Saratoga. Victorious in the GII Distaff H. in 2009, Secret Gypsy added this year's GII Honorable Miss H. back at the Spa and the GIII Endine S. She retired with earnings of $596,926.
