Setback For Classic Hope Ultra

Ultra | Godolphin

Godolphin's early season Classic hopes were dealt a blow when they announced that last year's high class juvenile Ultra (Ire) (Manduro {Ger}) will miss the early part of the season. The Andre Fabre trained colt was unbeaten in three starts including when successful on his last outing in the G1 Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp in October. John Ferguson confirmed the news on the Godolphin website reporting, “Ultra has developed a splint and, as a result, has missed training at a crucial time. He is unlikely to be ready for any major prep races, which in turn puts his Classic aspirations on hold.”
