Shadwell went to $600,000 to acquire hip 987, a colt from the first crop of champion Afleet Alex. The chestnut is a son of MGSW Solvig (Caerleon), who was acquired at KEEJAN in 2007 for $750,000 with this colt in utero. She sold as part of the F. Eugene Dixon Jr. dispersal.
