Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al MaktoumĂs Shadwell Farm started strong in 2007, with reigning Horse of the Year Invasor (Arg) (Candy Stripes) returning with a dramatic win in the GI Donn H. before traveling to Dubai for an authoritative win in the G1 World Cup. The stable suffered a setback when Invasor was forced into retirement by injury, but rebounded strongly with the late-season heroics of Daaher (Awesome Again) and Lahudood (GB) (Singspiel {Ire}). GI Breeders' Cup F/M Turf heroine Lahudood yesterday took honors as the top turf mare, and Shadwell earned their first Eclipse as the leading owner of 2007.
