+FANCY DAY (IRE) (f, 2, Shamardal–Tizdubai {GSW-US, $117,780), by Cee's Tizzy), sent off at 10-3, was up near the pace throughout the first half before being allowed to bowl to the front. Staying on up the hill, the homebred had two lengths to spare over Miss Sheridan (Ire) (Lilbourne Lad {Ire}) at the line. Lucrezia (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}), the daughter of the G1 Fillies' Mile and 2006 G1 Coronation S. heroine Nannina (GB) (Medicean {GB}), finished a non-threatening sixth after missing the kick. Fancy Day could easily prove to be the best so far out of the GII Sorrento S. winner Tizdubai, who also has a yearling full-sister to the winner. Tizdubai is a full-sister to the GI Breeders' Cup Classic-winning champion and leading sire Tiznow, as well as the five-times graded-stakes scorer Budroyale and four stakes-producing mares headed by Tizso. She is the dam of the GI Haskell Invitational hero and GI Belmont S. runner-up Paynter (Awesome Again), while the next dam is Lonely Dancer (Nice Dancer), who had the black-type winner Ceetoit also from a mating with Cee's Tizzy. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $6,502. Video, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
