Bruce Slade has been promoted to General Manager of Newgate Farm. Slade, who will commence the role on June 1, replaces Sam Fairgray, who leaves for Victoria's Woodside Park Stud. Slade had previously run Newgate's stallion business.
“Bruce is one of the most talented people I have ever been fortunate enough to work with and I believe he will be a wonderful leader for Newgate going forward,” said Newgate founder and part owner Henry Field. “I believe exceptional people are the key to the success of exceptional businesses and Bruce is truly one of those people.”
“I am very thankful to Sam for all he has done at Newgate in such an important part of our lifecycle,” Field added. “With talented key management, personnel and systems in place across all facets of our business I am certain it will be a seamless transition, and I could not be more confident about the future of Newgate with Bruce at the helm.”
