I CAN FLY (GB) (f, 2, Fastnet Rock {Aus}–Madonna Dell'Orto {GB}, by Montjeu {Ire}), a 240,000gns TAOCT yearling, broke well before being settled in behind the leading trio throughout the early stages. Sent up the inner of Raynama (Ire) (Siyouni {Fr}) approaching the furlong pole, the 3-1 second favourite drew away to win by four lengths. “Some of ours can be greener than we think, but she wasn't,” jockey Seamie Heffernan told Irish Racing.com. “She enjoyed herself and won very well. There was plenty to like about her and she's a quick learner.” The winner is a half-sister to Viscount Barfield (GB) (Raven's Pass), SW & GSP-Eng, $109,530, whose dam is a half to this stable's high-class and ill-fated Landseer (GB) (Danehill). He was successful in the G3 Coventry S. and second in the G1 Dewhurst S. at two before returning to annexe the G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains and GI Keeneland Turf Mile the following year and is also a half to the G1 Prince of Wales's S.-placed sire Ikhtyar (Ire). Also connected to the MSW and G1 Nassau S. third Moneycantbuymelove (Ire) (Pivotal {GB}), the dam has a yearling colt by Mastercraftsman (Ire) who is due to sell at Arqana's October Sale and a colt foal by Siyouni (Fr).
