A colt by Smart Strike lit up the board at OBS, selling for $1.7 million late in Wednesday's final session of the March sale. Lane's End's David Ingordo made the winning bid on the bay colt. Consigned by Eddie Woods, the juvenile worked a furlong in :9 4/5. The Illinois-bred colt is out of graded stakes placed Glamorista (Unbridled's Song), a half-sister to multiple Grade I winner Critical Eye (Dynaformer). Bred by Brinker Hill Farm, the youngster was the second seven-figure sale of the two-day auction.
