Hill 'n' Dale's John Sikura and prominent owner/breeder Bruce Lunsford helped establish a new high-water mark during Sunday's Book 2 finale at Keeneland September when they went to $700,000 for a filly by Smart Strike from Distinctively (Awesome Again),ﾠa stakes-placed daughter of champion filly Heavenly Prize. Hill 'n' Dale's Donato Lanni signed the ticket. “She has a wonderful pedigree and Donato loved the physical horse and I consider him one of the very best judges of a physical horse,” Hill 'n' Dale's John Sikura explained after the sale. “Sikura/Lunsford, we try to buy a top filly every year. This filly fits the criteria.”
