Smart Strike Ridgling Cracks Million-Dollar Barrier

A colt by leading sire Smart Strike out of GSW Ask Me No Secrets (Seattle Slew) was the subject of heavy bidding Tuesday afternoon at Keeneland, and when the dust settled, it was George Bolton, signing the ticket on behalf of a partnership, for an even $1 million. The bay colt was consigned by Bruce Gibbs's Greenfield Farm as agent for owner Earl Shultz, who campaigned Ask Me No Secrets to a victory in the GIII Oaklawn Breeders' Cup S. in 2002. The bay hails from the extended female family of MGISW Albert the Great.
